Foam rolling increases blood flow which aids in the delivery of oxygen and other nutrients to your muscles as well as;

1. help you increase your range of motion

because it helps the parasympathetic nervous system to relax the muscles and tendons you are rolling. As these tissues relax, the fibers move from a contracted state to an elongated state which helps to increase the range of motion around the joint, muscles pliability and improved body awareness.

2. help increase blood flowd optimizing motion.

Foam rolling increases blood flow to the tissues you are working on as well as help with the repair and increased blood flow needed to enhance the delivery of vital nutrients to your muscle cells. If you have an injury or are sore after a workout, foam rolling can help encourage the removal of inflammatory waste products, flushing these tissues with fresh nutrients and circulating out toxins. It is especially beneficial for fascial, tendons, and ligaments, which have relatively little blood flow under normal circumstances.

3. help with pain reduction

 If you have pain due to stiffness and or soft tissue restrictions, foam rolling can provide the stimulus your muscles need to relax which helps to effectively ease the pain experience.
